Up A Tree

I used a warm color palette for this piece and added a pale grey sky to evoke a sense of Fall. For comparison, I also included the original sketch.

The Mummy's Tomb

I attempted to get a 'Scooby Doo meets The Hardy Boys vibe on this piece, intentionally keeping the background sloppy in hopes of creating an eerie look.

It's a Girl!

Been traveling for a while and now that I'm home I'm really looking forward to getting back to my sketching. This is a character study for a piece I might do down the road.

The Bookkeeper

I wanted the color for this piece to look dingy like old filing cabinets and the background to appear faded and pushed back. Overall, I'm really pleased with how this one came out.

Wise Guys

I had a lot of fun with this one. Originally, I just wanted to draw a snake wearing a sweater. But things quickly got out of hand and I wound up with this unruly bunch.

Down Under

I had an awesome trip to the zoo recently and remembered this illustration I did for a good friend. He's a master of the didgeridoo.
