Face Your Fears

It's good to confront your fears…at least, that's what I keep telling myself. My life-long nemesis is foreshortening.

Follow Your Bliss

Here's a recent warm up sketch and the resulting color piece. If I can squeeze in a little time between projects I'll color the other birds as well. I hope everyone out there has found their own bliss and is doing what makes them happy.

Meet The Artist

There was a fun hashtag on Twitter called #MeetTheArtist. The challenge was to create a self portrait and include a few random likes and dislikes. This was mine. If you wish to follow me on Twitter or Instagram just look for @DuckDuckGorilla.

Tars Tarkas

A bit of Burroughs fun. The John Carter of Mars books were among my favorites growing up and Tars Tarkas was quite simply the coolest alien ever imagined. I remember staring at the cover art for those books and dreaming of the red planet for hours on end.

Snow Day

Here's a recent sketch I liked well enough to add a bit of background to. She appears off balance, which is totally unintentional. But it fits with her not watching where she's going. I love happy accidents.

Whole Lotta Rosie

Quick character study for a random drawing challenge on Twitter. They help keep me on my toes when other work slows down. Idle hands and all that…best to just keep drawing.
