Follow Your Bliss

Here's a recent warm up sketch and the resulting color piece. If I can squeeze in a little time between projects I'll color the other birds as well. I hope everyone out there has found their own bliss and is doing what makes them happy.

Grey Matters

I've been enjoying these monotone color treatments lately, just focusing on basic highlights and shadows. I also obscured some of the line work in this piece to see what would happen and I'm happy with the end result.

Tars Tarkas

A bit of Burroughs fun. The John Carter of Mars books were among my favorites growing up and Tars Tarkas was quite simply the coolest alien ever imagined. I remember staring at the cover art for those books and dreaming of the red planet for hours on end.
